You have a voice. Your voice is not meant to be silent or inferior. So often we look at ourselves to examine where we’re at but instead we end up tearing ourselves down. Have you felt called to do something but then you disqualify yourself? When God calls us, He sees all our imperfections and all our sins…but He still calls us. Why then do we disqualify ourselves? Who are we to disagree with God?
I can be a perfectionist at times, so when I step out to do something, I want to make sure everything will go well. If I don’t feel like I’m set up for success, I will often back out. When I do that, I am not only robbing myself of growth and blessing, but I am robbing others of something God wants to do or say through me. God doesn’t ask us to do things because we are perfect or better than anyone else. He calls us because He created us for a unique purpose that only we can fulfill. When we step out and do our best for Him, we are showing others that we are all in a process and nobody is perfect. Don’t hold back because you think you are disqualified. Allow God to search your heart, change you, correct you, love you, and lead you. He has given you a voice to use for His glory. Now go out and use it.
My prayer and declaration:
You have a voice of victory!
Let your voice be heard!
It’s ringing out in the spiritual realm!
You have something to say,
Your voice needs to be heard.
Deep within are gems of hope, encouragement, joy and freedom for others.
Father, take our discouragement. Take our criticism. Take our comparison. Take our fear. Fill us with joy.
I’m going to sing out loud and let my voice be heard!
Use your voice for good not to criticize, condemn, or tear others down.
Bless! Do not curse.
You have a voice and it needs to be heard.
There is power in your voice.
The enemy wants to keep you down and stop your voice.
Don’t let fear, intimidation, or judgment keep you quiet.
Let your voice cry out and shake the heavens!
Praise Him! Lift Him up! Encourage His people! Share your story! Share your struggles. Exult His name in all the earth!
Your presence is our delight!
Fill us day and night with your loving kindness.
Change us by your overwhelming love.
Let your presence overflow in our lives.
Show us what to get rid of so you can fill us completely.
You give us vision. You give us hope. You give us a song. You equip us with Your power.
Your praise will be my song!
We will shout it at the rooftops! We will sing it in our homes and over our neighborhoods. We will declare victory in our country! We will declare freedom over the broken and undone. We will fight and not be cowards. We will fight with our spiritual weapons and not be silent. How can we not?
Let Your voice flow through us and pour over! Let your presence fill us and soak those around us. Your love is never-ending!
We lay down our walls, sins and barriers that are keeping you out. We lay down our lives for You, God. We want more of You! More of You!
You can have it all Lord, every part of our world. Take our life and breath on it.
Lavender Morningsong (yes, that is her name) is a southern California native. She grew up in Leucadia, San Diego as a beach baby and lived on what she likes to call a mini farm. She lived a wild life until meeting the Lord when she was 19 years of age.
Lavender has been married to her best friend for 15 years and has three spunky children to keep her busy. She has done many things and held different occupations, but her one passion is the Lord. Through every season of life, her one desire is to grow closer to the Lord and be transformed into His image. Through her experiences and imperfections, she hopes to inspire others to not give up hope, to feel normal, to laugh, and continue to run this crazy, beautiful race we are running.
