From the time their little feet hit the floor, they are running, yelling, jumping off everything. Like the energizer bunny, they go all day until their battery runs out. Then, they crash hard.
Ten years ago I was pregnant with number 4. With 3 little boys in tow. Guess what the question people would ask me. Yep, that’s right- “Is this your girl?” Or, “still trying for that girl huh?” There was a part of me that wanted a girl, but after having these four boys, I wouldn’t have changed it for the world.
The wild and crazy days with lots of mud, trucks, running, of course they are always wrestling or picking on one another. They were born with competitive spirits, fearless leaders. Built for the war. When my first two were only two and four years old, I thought, ‘we will not have toy guns, they may grow up to be murderers’. We can’t teach them that! Ha-ha, the joke was on me. They made them out of Legos or peanut butter jelly sandwiches. Which led me to read one of Dobson’s books on raising boys. I sure had a lot to learn! Nobody taught me how to raise these boys, I had no brothers growing up. We sure had a lot of fun with all the Nerf guns, Airsoft and BB guns after I learned it was going to be okay.
My daily goal was to keep them busy and have fun with them. We spent endless days at parks. Playing with Legos and blocks on the floor. They dressed up as police, fireman, superheroes. They played hide and seek (with glow sticks at night is super fun!). There was burping, farting, and laughing at everything. I would buy them rainboots for winter every year, just so they could go play for hours out in the mud with their Tonka trucks.
Summers were spent going to the beach, running in and out of the ocean, building in the sand, chasing each other around. Sun kissed freckles, the cutest giggles and smiles ever. Lots of tickles. Oh and did I mention wrestling? That was daily, and still is, actually!
Yes, sometimes these boys drive me crazy. That is what girlfriends are great for. They will keep you sane, and the other moms of boys will keep you rolling with laughter. As you compare notes with each other and know you are definitely not alone. Those other boys also yell, spit, wrestle, are competitive, aggressive, persistent, and love guns or any other “weapons” too.
The teen years bring a whole other challenge. If you aren’t there yet, please enjoy every second because you can’t get these years back. I would love one more little guy to cuddle or fall asleep in my arms, or even one more peanut butter jelly kiss. I loved how after a long hard day, they would just crash out anywhere.
My oldest is now 20 and serving in the Air force, my second is on his way to ASU in a couple of months. My last two are still at home so we are still having fun! I am so proud and honored to be their Momma and so excited to see them grow in every way! I still can’t believe God entrusted me with these four young men. My world has been very fulfilling. Be blessed you beautiful Mammas. Love those babies and make amazing memories to cherish forever!
May our sons walk after you, – GOD -, fear you and keep your commandments and obey your voice. May they serve you and hold fast to you. (Deuteronomy 13:4)

At the young age of 41, Daniella’s mother suffered a massive stroke, which sparked in her a passion for health and fitness. Since then, she has become an inspiration to many by leading fitness classes all over the Temecula Valley, in Southern California. Daniella competed in her first fitness competition at Muscle Beach, and took 4th place.
Daniella enjoys her quiet time with JESUS, the beach, play time with her family, date nights with hubby and, girls outings with friends (she needs these as she is in a house full of testosterone!)
She recently moved her mom into her home to care for her. Which is quite an adjustment for her and the family. Daniella has a heart to help others to be free and healthy in mind, body, and soul. Her vision is to have others experience freedom in Jesus. She hopes to help them reach levels they can only dream about.
