Dear Miss “Too Much“,
You know who you are. You are the one they shush. You are the one they publicly call out. You are that one.
You are one of the chosen. The one in a crowd of people who gets called out constantly. Reminded of your obnoxious habits, shortcomings, and flaws; your “toos“;
Too…(insert yours here).
Too many “toos”, to keep track of…
They are heard from many sources: your mother, brother, sister. Heard from your teacher, boss, and peers. Your greatest enemies and sometimes, even from your greatest loves.
That is part of the “toos”
And all too often, these “toos” lead to our “I will’s”…
I will be quieter, to not draw attention…
I will be more submissive, to be more accepted…
I will keep my quirky comments to myself, as not to come across different…
Now, as a former “Too Much” myself, I have a few words, of my own for you.
Never once have I heard the Lord call me a TOO, but instead something quite different.
So I have transitioned into His Miss Just Right.
Hearing only the words the Father says with a megaphone,
leaving the rest as whispers. Only changing the parts of me that do not align with Him.
“Your voice is JUST RIGHT for my ears sweet daughter.
You’re speaking of me, and our love is JUST RIGHT my beauty,
Your weirdness is JUST the RIGHT medicine for my day ”
That is what I hear.
To the current “Miss Too Much” I say:
“You are just the right amount of precious,
Just the right amount of energetic,
Just the right amount of strength.” (Proverbs 31)
You my dear, are Miss Just Right.
Wear that crown.
Current and forever Miss Just Right,
